Welcome to Toddle! We’re thrilled to have you on board. In this article, we will guide you through the many useful features available on the Toddle web platform that will help you stay connected with your child’s learning journey at school. Let’s get started!
As you open the Toddle webpage, you will find the option to log in as a family member. If you are a first-time user, refer to to create a new account for yourself. If your account is already created, click on the ‘Family account’ option as highlighted above. You will be asked to sign in using your registered email ID.
Once you have successfully logged in, you will be directed to the Home page, which looks similar to the one shown below.
Note: The cards you see on your homepage may vary depending on the configurations done by the school admin.
Accessing notifications
Let’s start with the top right corner. See the bell icon? Click on it to access your notifications. These will help you keep in touch with your child’s learning activities. If you have more than one child on Toddle, notifications for all of them are consolidated under this tab.
The gear icon highlighted in the above screen takes you to the ‘Notifications settings page’. Here you can set your notification preferences by selecting where and when you want to be notified.

Right next to the notifications icon, you'll find an icon with your initials. Click on your name to see a range of options here. Let’s understand each of them.
The ‘Notification settings’ button will redirect you to the page we explored above, and will help you manage your notifications according to your preferences.
The 'My Profile' tab is a centralized location where you can view all the children you're connected with on Toddle. Alternatively, click on the ‘Add child’ button to link another child to your profile on Toddle. Refer for more details on the ‘My Profile’ page. Use the ‘Language and timezone’ pop-up modal to set your preferred language and time zone.
Dashboard
Now let's explore the main dashboard section filled with helpful cards:
Child switcher and select academic year
On the left, you will see your child’s name. The information displayed on the dashboard corresponds to the child currently shown at the top. If you have more than one child connected on Toddle, use the child switcher to navigate to another child’s dashboard. You can also add a new child by clicking the ‘+’ icon. Additionally, to view your child’s data from a previous academic year, select the relevant academic year from the same switcher. Read more about adding another child to your profile . Note: All sections from previous years on Toddle are accessible just like the current year but in view-only mode. Additionally, notifications from past years will not be visible.
Assignments and deadlines
This widget shows all the assignments your child needs to work on. Upcoming tasks, past-due items, and assignments without due dates will all be listed here. Tap the ‘View all’ option to get a more detailed view.
Announcements
Click on the ‘Announcements’ card to view all the latest news and updates shared by the school about events, holidays, etc.
On the landing page, you will be able to view all the announcements on the left side of your page. Click on any announcement to get more details on the same. You can also search for specific announcements by using the search bar at the top right. You can also filter announcements by creator, class, publish date, or status using the filter option. Never miss an event! This card will show the full year's calendar, including holidays, parent-teacher conferences, and other important school-wide events shared by the school admin.
You can use the left and right arrows at the top to navigate between months, helping you stay updated on all upcoming assignments and events in your child’s school.
You can also use the 'View' drop-down to switch between 'Agenda', 'Weekly', and 'Monthly' views, depending on how you prefer to track schedules.
Use the 'Subscribe' option to sync assignments and school events to your personal calendar, such as Google Calendar or Microsoft Calendar, so you can view Toddle events alongside your other commitments. Refer to to learn more. Messaging
As a family member, you can converse with your child’s teachers by clicking on the ‘Messaging’ card on your homepage. You can use this feature to actively participate in conversations initiated by teachers, as well as initiate chats with teachers from your end.
On the landing page, you will find a list of all the teachers you have conversed with earlier. By selecting a teacher, the chat thread will open on the right side, allowing you to access all the messages and attachments exchanged with that particular teacher. Additionally, use the ‘+’ button at the top to initiate a new conversation. And, use the drop-down menu to browse and join public channels.

Gradebook
The ‘Gradebook’ is where you can get an overview of your child’s academic performance across all grading periods, subjects, as well as standards and skills.
On the left panel:
Click on ‘Assessments’ to view assessment-wise scores for each subject and term, along with the assessment title and the score awarded, helping you track your child’s performance across individual assessments. Click on 'Standards' to view your child’s progress against learning standards for the selected academic year and grading period, including the final grade calculated for each standard. Use the ‘Subject’ drop-down to switch between subjects and view how your child has performed against learning standards. Click on 'Skills' to view how your child is progressing on key skills for the selected grading period. For each skill, you will see the achievement level, based on the grade scale tagged to that skill. Use the ‘Subject’ and ‘Skill’ drop-downs to switch between different skills and view how your child has been graded on each. Timetable

Attendance
Here you can keep track of your child's overall attendance. To learn more about viewing and managing your child’s attendance, refer to . The button on the top-right allows you to easily request excusals for upcoming or past dates. Refer to this article to learn everything about . Student Profile
The student profile in Toddle provides you with a comprehensive overview of your child’s academic and overall learning journey.
Once you click on the card, you will find the overview of your child’s personal and academic information, along with multiple tabs including your child’s portfolio, gradebook, progress reports, goals, attendance records, timetable, and more.
Behaviour management
If enabled by your school, the ‘Behaviour management’ card will be available on your homepage. This section allows you to stay informed about any behaviour-related incidents reported for your child.
On the landing page, you will see a list of incidents created for your child, with key details such as:
Category and sub-category (e.g., Positive behaviour → Volunteering for school activities) Incident title (e.g., Participation in School event) Level of the incident (e.g., Low, Medium, High) Actions taken – shows the number of completed actions, which you can click to view more details You can also search, filter, and download incidents using the toolbar at the top of the page. Portfolio
View a consolidated portfolio of your child’s posts across classes through the ‘Portfolio’ card on the homepage.
The portfolio opens in a grid-based layout, with each post displayed as a card for quick visual access. You can scroll through posts, view attachments, and engage with them using likes and comments. The left-hand panel shows all of your child’s classes - click any class name to filter posts accordingly.
You can use the date filter to view posts from a specific time period within the current academic year. To see posts from previous years, you can switch the academic year directly from the home page.

Finally, as you scroll down on the home page, you will get a list of all classes your child is enrolled in. Click on anyone to gain detailed insights.
This is how the class landing page will look. By clicking on the class icon on the left panel, you can easily switch between the various classes that your child is enrolled in. Through this panel, you can also access various tiles such as Course plan, Assignments, Portfolio, etc., to get insights into your child’s learning journey. Come, let’s explore these.
Course plan: It gives you a structured view of what your child is learning, organized by units and weeks, including learning experiences and assignments planned by the teacher.
Assignments: The ‘Assignments’ section has details of the various tasks assigned to and completed by your child. You can also search for particular tasks or filter them according to their submission status. To learn more, refer to article. Portfolio: This feature offers a glimpse into your child’s classroom experiences, allowing family members to explore their child's portfolio entries and interact through these posts through likes and comments.

Announcements: You can access class-specific announcements from here. These announcements pertain to only the class selected, and not the broader school-wide announcements, which can be accessed from the ‘Announcements’ page at the homepage.
Class switcher
If your child is enrolled in more than one class, you can easily navigate between the different classes by using the ‘Class switcher’ drop-down as shown below.
