The Toddle Educator app brings all your teaching tools into one place. You can manage classes, track student progress, stay updated with school activities, and communicate with ease. This article walks you through the key features of the app.

Manage your profile and account settings Sign in to Toddle
Open the Toddle Educator App on your device. On the sign-in screen, choose how you want to sign in:
Tap Email, Google, Microsoft, Clever, or Lex to sign in using the corresponding account credentials. Once signed in, you will land on your homepage.

Tap your profile avatar in the top-left corner of your homepage to open your profile settings.
My profile
Tap My profile to view your name, photo, and associated school. You can update your profile information from this screen.
Language and timezone
Tap Language and timezone to change the language the app displays in and set your preferred timezone.
Curriculum and year
Tap Curriculum and year to switch between schools or academic years. You can also switch the curriculum and year selection from the drop-down on the home screen.
Note: When you switch to a previous academic year, all content is available in read-only mode. A banner at the top of the screen indicates that you are viewing a past year.
Notification settings
Tap Notification settings to control how and when you receive notifications. You can configure in-app, email, and push notifications for each trigger. To learn more about managing your notification preferences, refer to . Logout
Tap Logout to sign out of the app.
View notifications
Tap the bell icon in the top-right corner of your homepage to view your notifications. A red badge on the bell shows the number of unread notifications.
Your notifications are organized into two tabs:
Primary - a catch-all for all general notifications from across the app Announcements - school announcements shared with you by your school admin or colleagues At the top of the notifications panel, you have three options:
Mark all as read - marks all notifications across tabs as read at once Show only unread - filters the list to show only notifications you have not yet read Gear icon - opens your notification settings. To learn more, refer to . Your homepage
After signing in, you land on your homepage. This is your central hub where everything on Toddle is accessible.
The homepage displays cards for each module available to you. Tap any card to open it.
Note: The cards you see on your homepage may vary depending on the configurations done by your school admin.
School announcements
The School announcements card shows all announcements shared with your school community. A red badge on the card indicates unread announcements.
Announcements are organized into three tabs: Inbox, Drafts, and Scheduled. Tap any announcement in your inbox to read the full message. Use the filter icon to narrow announcements by type, the search icon to find a specific announcement, and the + button to create a new announcement. The Calendar card shows all school events and important dates across your classes.
You can switch between a Day view and a List view using the icons at the top-right. Navigate between dates using the arrows. Use the filter icon to narrow events by type or by class.
Homeroom
The Homeroom card is your attendance hub for all students you are the homeroom teacher for.
Note: This card is visible only if you have been assigned as a homeroom teacher for at least one student.
Open the card to mark attendance for your homeroom students for the selected date. You can navigate between dates using the arrows at the top. You will be able to mark daily and/or period-wise attendance depending on the configurations done by your school admin.
For each student, you can select one of the attendance codes set up by your school and add a note using the comment icon.. Use the Mark all Present button at the top-right to mark the entire class present at once.
Tap the filter icon to narrow the view by a daily, weekly, monthly, or custom date range. Tap the envelope icon to check any absence requests you have received for your homeroom students. To learn more about marking and managing attendance as a homeroom teacher, refer to . Messaging
The Messaging card lets you communicate with students, families, and colleagues in two ways:
One-on-one chats are available to all schools. You can start a direct conversation with any individual student, family member, or staff member. Channels enable group conversations - class channels, custom channels, and family channels. Channels are part of Toddle Connect and are only available if your school has subscribed to it. Use the tabs at the top to filter your conversations: All, Unread, Students, Families, and Staff. Tap the filter icon to apply additional filters. Tap any conversation to open the message thread. Tap the + button to start a new conversation or create a channel.

The My goals card gives you a central place to view and manage goals set by your students.
You will see a list of all students across your classes, along with a summary of their goal progress. Use the search and filter icons to find a specific student. Tap any student to view their goals, organized into Ongoing and Completed tabs. Each goal shows its title, target date, and milestone progress. Tap the three-dot menu on a goal to edit it or duplicate it for other students. Tap the + button to create a new goal for the selected student. The School policies card contains documents and resources shared by your school, such as policy documents, handbooks, and reference materials.
Use the search bar to find a specific file or folder. Tap the select all icon at the top-right to enable multi-select mode. You can then select multiple documents and download them together. Tap the download icon next to any individual file to download it directly.
Your classes
Below the module cards, you will find the Courses and classes section. This shows all the courses and classes you are currently assigned to. Tap any class to open it.
Inside a class, you can navigate using the tabs at the bottom of the screen: Attendance, Portfolio, Class announcements, Weekly planner, and More.
Note: Tap the class name at the top of any class screen to open a dropdown and switch to a different class without going back to your homepage.
Attendance
The Attendance tab lets you mark and view attendance for students in your class.
Use the date picker at the top to navigate to a specific date. Attendance can be viewed and marked by day and/or by individual period, depending on how your school has configured attendance (day-wise, period-wise, or both).
For each student, select one of the attendance codes set up by your school and add a note using the comment icon. Use the Mark all Present button to mark the entire class present at once. The Portfolio tab is where you document student learning through posts. Use the tabs at the top to view Published, Scheduled, Draft, and In approval posts.
Tap the filter icon to narrow posts by student, folder, or date. Use the search icon to find a specific post. Tap + to create a new portfolio post and add photos, videos, audio recordings, and files, then tag students, folders, and learning elements to the post. The Class announcements tab lets you create and share announcements specifically for your class. Announcements are organized into four tabs: All published, Drafts, Scheduled, and Bin. Use the sort, filter, and search icons to find specific announcements. Tap + to create a new class announcement. To learn more about creating and managing class announcements, refer to . The Weekly planner tab lets you view weekly planners that have been created for your class on the web. You cannot create planners from the app.
Tap any planner from the list to open it. Inside, you will see a day-wise view of your planned content. Use the navigation arrows to move between days. Tap the More tab to access class management tools. This section includes three options:
Notifications - Control which types of activity trigger notifications for this class, such as portfolio posts, assignments, and attendance updates. Manage family - View and manage family connections for students in your class. Students are grouped into those with no family members connected and those with connected family members. You can invite family members via email or via a class invite link directly from this screen. For a full walkthrough of inviting family members on web, refer to . Generate class code -Generate a QR code and a text sign-in code that students can use to join your class. You can print the QR code or regenerate it. The text sign-in code refreshes every hour for security. Note: You can easily switch classes without leaving this view by using the class switcher drop-down at the top.
