Toddle’s Family App gives you a simple and intuitive way to stay connected with your child’s learning journey. Through this video, you’ll learn how to navigate the Family App - from viewing announcements and progress reports to exploring your child’s portfolio and classroom updates.
This video is an excellent starting point for you, as a family member, to understand how to access and follow your child’s learning on Toddle.
Navigating the Toddle app
As you open the Toddle Family App, you will find multiple login options. You will be required to sign in with your registered email ID. If you are a first-time user, refer to article to create a new account for yourself. Once you have successfully logged in, you will land on your Home page with various useful cards.
Note: The cards you see on your homepage may vary depending on the configurations done by the school admin.
Profile settings
At the top left, you'll find an icon with your initials. Click on it to get to the ‘My Profile’ page. You will come across a range of options here. Let’s walk through each one.
Personal Profile
By clicking on the pencil icon, you will be able to edit your personal and contact details on the Toddle Family app.
Language and Timezone
Use the ‘Language’ switcher to change the platform language as well as the timezone of your preference.
Student sign-in code
You will find your child's ‘Student sign-in code’ here, which can be used for logging into the student portal.
Notification settings
This option redirects you to the ‘Notifications settings’ page, where you can set your notification preferences by selecting where and when you want to be notified. Read to learn all about notification settings. Manage children
You can use the ‘Manage children’ option to add or remove children linked to your profile on the Toddle family app. Simply click on the delete icon to delete a child, or add a new child by clicking on the ‘Add child’ button, which will then prompt you to scan a QR code or enter the ‘Family code’ to add a new child to your profile.
You can log out as well as delete your account from this page.
Accessing notifications
Use the bell icon on the top right to access your notifications. These will help you keep in touch with your child’s learning activities.
You will be able to view all the notifications you have received as a family member. If you have more than one child on Toddle, notifications for all of them are consolidated under this tab.
The gear icon highlighted in the screen below takes you to the ‘Notifications settings’ page where you can set your notification preferences. Read to learn all about notification settings. Dashboard
Now let's explore the main dashboard section filled with helpful cards:
Child switcher and accessing data from the previous academic year
Right on top of the landing page, you will see your child’s name.
Click on it to seamlessly switch between the multiple child profiles that are linked to your Toddle account. You can also navigate to a previous academic year from here.
Note: All sections from previous years on Toddle are accessible just like the current year but in view-only mode, with no option to modify content. Additionally, notifications from past years will not be visible.
Announcements
The ‘Announcements’ card is where you will find all the latest news and updates shared by the school about events, holidays, etc. You can click on each announcement to get more details on the same. You can also search for specific announcements or filter them as per your requirements. For more details, please refer to article. Assignments and deadlines
The ‘Assignments and deadlines’ card shows all the tasks and assignments your child needs to or has worked on. Upcoming tasks, past due items, and already submitted tasks will all be listed here. Tap the filter icon on the top right to choose which type of tasks and classes you want to view the tasks for.
Attendance
Here you can keep track of your child's overall attendance. Depending on the configurations done by the school admin, you will be able to view your child’s overall presence, daily attendance, and further breakdown of attendance for each class. The red button on the top-right allows you to easily request leave for your child for upcoming or past dates. article will help you learn how to request excusals on Toddle. Behaviour management
The Behaviour management section allows you to stay informed about any behaviour-related incidents reported for your child.
For each incident, you can view the title, category, level, and the published date. You can also switch between the Published and Resolved tabs or click on an incident to view more details.
Use the toolbar at the top to search and filter the incident list as needed. Find more information on how to set up the Behaviour management module and monitor incidents in . Note: The name of the ‘Behaviour management’ card may vary based on the configuration done by your school.
Calendar
Never miss an event! The ‘Calendar’ card will give you access to the full year's school calendar, including holidays, parent-teacher conferences, school-wide events, class assignments, and other important dates. Switch between daily or weekly views and gain information on all the happenings in your child’s school.

You can conveniently access the Gradebook module on the Family app to view information about your child’s academic progress across subjects/courses and grading periods.
At the bottom of the screen, you will find multiple tabs that help you view different aspects of your child’s learning.
The Assessments tab shows a list of assignments, tasks, and assessments shared by teachers for the selected subject/course and grading period. You can switch between subjects/courses using the tabs at the top and view details such as due dates, submission status, and teacher comments for each assessment. In the Standards tab, you can see how teachers assess your child’s work against learning standards, which describe what students are expected to know, understand, and be able to do at a particular stage of learning, so you can see how well your child is progressing in each area of learning, not just on individual assignments. The Skills tab highlights progress on specific skills or learning goals, helping you understand how your child is developing key competencies over time, beyond individual assessments. Together, these tabs give you a complete view of what your child is working on, how they are being assessed, and how they are progressing across standards and skills.
Messaging
Your school's messaging hub. You can send and receive messages one-on-one with your child's teachers or through class channels, staff channels, and public channels. Use the All, Unread, Staff, and Public channels tabs to navigate your conversations. You can also search across members, channels, messages, and files.
On the landing page, you will find a list of all the teachers you have conversed with earlier. You can click on anyone to continue your chat or use the '+' icon at the top to initiate a new conversation. You can send text, voice messages, attachments, and more.
Note: Channels are available only if your school has subscribed to Toddle Connect. You will be able to initiate a conversation with your child's teachers only if the relevant setting is enabled by the school admin.

View a consolidated portfolio of your child’s posts across classes through the ‘Portfolio’ card on the homepage.
On the landing page, you will see a feed of all portfolio posts your child has created or tagged in. You can scroll through posts, view attachments, and engage with them using likes and comments.
Additionally, you can use the search option to look up posts with keywords. To narrow your view, tap the filter icon and filter posts by class, folder, or date.

Access your child's latest academic reports and evaluations shared by the school using the ‘Progress reports’ card. You can view and download PDF copies. To learn more about accessing your child’s progress reports, refer to article. School policies
Important policy documents and official resources from the school will be housed in this section for your reference. You can view or download them for offline use.
Timetable
Get the daily class schedule for your child at a glance through the ‘Timetable’ card.
Classes
Click on any of your child’s classes to get detailed insights. Let’s explore the individual sections you will see inside a class.
Portfolio: The ‘Portfolio’ tab within a class offers a glimpse into your child’s classroom experiences. Navigate through these posts and interact by liking or commenting on them. article will help you gain more information about this feature. Note: The sections available within a class may vary as per your school's configuration. You can also access the portfolio posts from the Portfolio card on the homepage for a consolidated view of your child’s posts across all classes.
Assignments: The ‘Assignments’ section has details of the various tasks assigned to and completed by your child. You can also search for particular tasks or filter them according to their submission status. To learn more, refer to article. Class flow: Inside the ‘Class flow’ section, you can view all the class content shared with your child. Use the search bar at the top to find specific items or use the ‘Status’ filter to view items based on submission or completion status. You can click on tasks to view task details or your child’s work (if already added).
Weekly Planners: This tool provides an overview of your child’s upcoming schedule and the learning experiences they’ll be participating in for the weeks ahead.
Announcements: You can access class-specific announcements from here. These announcements pertain to only the class selected, and not the broader school-wide announcements, which can be accessed from the ‘Announcements’ page at the homepage.
Class switcher
If your child is enrolled in more than one class, you can easily navigate between the different classes by using the ‘Class switcher’ at the top, as shown below.
