Let’s learn about these insights in detail.

View by department

View by department lets coordinators and department heads analyze how each DP subject group addresses curriculum elements within the selected year group. The landing page displays all subject groups as cards. Click any card to open the detailed view for that department.

The tabs available in the department view are:
Unit
Connections
Learner profile attributes
Custom datasets

Unit

The Unit tab shows all units within the selected department as a structured table. The table includes all standard DP template fields and any custom fields your school has added.
Use the following controls:
Use the search bar to find a unit by keywords.
Use Sort to sort classes and units alphabetically, by created date, or by last modified date. You can also select Apply to all views to carry the sort order across all insight views.
Use Configure columns to show or hide and reorder specific unit information.
Click any unit title to open the full unit planner in a new tab.
Note: To explore insights for other departments, use the dropdown next to the department title to switch departments.

Connections

The Connections tab shows how the different types of cross-curricular connections are integrated across courses, units, and tasks in the selected department.
Use the left panel to navigate between connection types. Click any category to scroll directly to that section. Each type is displayed as a separate table. Connection items appear as rows, which can be expanded to view sub-items where applicable.
Use the toggle to switch between count modes:
Course count: how many courses include the element
Unit count: how many units include the element
Task count (ATL connections only): how many assessments and learning experiences address the element

Click any count to open a pop-up listing the contributing courses, units, or tasks.
Group 10091.jpg
Learner profile attributes are tracked in the same way as connections: each attribute shows a course count, unit count, and task count across the year group. Click any count to view the contributing courses, units, or tasks.
Note: Custom datasets follow the same view as connections, showing course and unit counts only. Task counts are not available for custom datasets. Custom datasets must be enabled by a school administrato and included in planning insight calculations.

View by subject

View by subject lets you analyze planning and coverage at the individual subject level. The landing page displays all subjects offered in the selected year group. Use Search or Filter to locate specific subjects. Click a subject card to open its detailed view.
