Extended essay subjects (DP)

Extended essay subjects are the IB DP subjects that students can choose from when selecting the subject for their Extended Essay.

Use this page to manage the list DP subjects your school offers for the Extended Essay.

Add a new subject using the +Add subject button:

Select the DP subjects you want to offer for the EE.

Subjects are organised by IB subject groups and response languages.

Manage existing subjects using the Actions menu (three dots) :

Archive subject – Removes the subject from future student selection while keeping it in an archived state.

Remove subject – Permanently deletes the subject from the list of EE subjects.

Students can select their EE subject only from the list configured here.

The Remove subject option is disabled if a student has already chosen that subject for their Extended essay.
