Departments

Departments help organize your subjects or courses into meaningful groups - like Mathematics, Science, or Humanities. They play an important role in enabling department-level insights.

What can I do on this page?

Use this page to manage all department-related actions.

View all departments: See a list of departments created at your school.

Locate an existing department:

Use the status filter to view All, Active, or Archived departments.

Or, use the Search bar to quickly find a specific department by name.

Check usage and activity: For each department, view how many subjects or courses are tagged to it and whether it is active or archived.

Create a new department: Click the + New department button, choose an icon, and enter a name to add a department.

Use the three-dot menu to Edit, Deactivate, or Delete a department.

Things to keep in mind

In a subject-based setup, departments are directly associated with subjects.

Courses inherit department information through the subjects linked to them.

In a course-based setup, departments are directly associated with courses.

Departments that are already tagged to subjects or courses cannot be deleted. Deactivate them instead so they do not appear for new setups.
