Comment voice & structure

Comment voice & structure lets you define how Toddle AI writes progress report comments for your school.
Voice control the tone and style, while the output structure defines how comments are organized.

What can I do on this page?

Use this page to review existing voices, create new ones, and set a default voice for use by teachers.
Review existing comment voices:
View all available voices, including Toddle-provided and school-created custom voices.
Select a voice to review its Voice description and Output structure, which guide how AI drafts comments.
Use the three-dot menu to rename or delete custom voices.
Toddle-provided voices cannot be edited or removed.
Set a default voice:
Click the ⭐ icon to set a voice as the default for teachers.
The default voice is used whenever AI generates comments, unless a teacher selects another option.
Create a custom voice:
Click +Create new.
Add at least two sample comments that reflect your preferred tone and structure.
Click Analyze to generate a voice and output structure, which you can refine if needed.

Things to keep in mind

Comment voices apply only to AI-generated comments. They do not affect comments typed manually or inserted from the Comment bank.
Teachers cannot create new voices but can choose from the voices you make available.
Changing the default voice affects future AI-generated comments only.
Only one voice can be set as the default at a time.
