The Comment bank stores reusable comments that teachers can insert while completing progress reports.
You can create shared comments for schoolwide use, manage personal comments created by teachers, and bulk import large sets of comments before a reporting window.
What can I do on this page?
Use this page to create, import, and manage comments for reporting.
Add a title, tag Grades and Subjects, and write the comment text. Include dynamic fields in the comment text by typing double curly braces ‘{{’ to open a dropdown with options such as first name, pronoun placeholders, and more. Choose the type of comment - Personal (visible only to the creator and admins) or Shared (usable to all staff) Click Bulk import to add, edit, or delete multiple comments at once. Download the template (blank or pre-filled). Add new comments or update existing ones in the sheet. Or, mark comments for deletion using the instructions provided in the template. Upload your file to apply all changes. Review the Added, Edited and Deleted tabs to check changes before clicking Confirm upload to save them to your comment bank. Use the three-dot menu beside a comment to edit, duplicate, or delete it. For Personal comments created by teachers, you can also select Duplicate as shared comment to make them available schoolwide. Use bulk actions to manage multiple comments efficiently. Select multiple comments to open bulk options such as adding or removing grades or subjects, downloading comments, or deleting them. Click the settings icon to set the character limit for comments used across the school. Things to keep in mind
Shared comments are visible to all teachers. Personal comments are visible only to the creator and admins. Teachers can create only personal comments; only admins can create or convert comments to shared comments. Dynamic fields auto-fill using student information. If a field cannot be resolved (for example, missing pronouns), the platform will display a warning before reports are shared. If character limits are enabled, the editor shows a live counter. The limit is for guidance only; teachers can still exceed it. Only comments tagged to specific grades or subjects are shown to teachers during reporting.
