Categories are behaviour standards to group incidents into types such as achievements, infractions, or health-related events. Each category can have multiple sub-categories arranged in up to three levels.
What can I do on this page?
Use this page to set up and manage incident categories for your account.
Click Add category to create a new category. Choose the school(s) where this category will be applicable. Assign a sentiment (Positive, Neutral, or Negative) for the category. Assign a colour to differentiate the category across the platform visually. Click Add to save the category. Click any category or use the three-dot menu to view or edit its sub-categories. Use Edit to add, reorder, or delete sub-categories across up to three hierarchy levels. Click Save and publish to make the sub-categories available for staff when logging incidents. Use the three-dot menu to delete a category at any time. Things to keep in mind
Categories remain in Draft until at least one published sub-category is added. Incidents must be tagged to the deepest sub-category. You cannot create two categories with the same name. Deleting a category or sub-category does not affect any existing incidents already tagged to it. All sub-categories within a category should ideally follow the same hierarchy depth for consistent reporting. Categories in Draft state cannot be used to tag incidents.
