Blueprint courses allow you to create a reusable master course that can be connected to multiple teacher courses. They help maintain consistency across classrooms by keeping curriculum structure aligned, while still allowing flexibility where permitted.
Updates made in a blueprint course can be synced to linked teacher courses at any time.
What can I do on this page?
Use this page to create, manage, and review all blueprint courses for your school.
Click Create new course to add a new blueprint course. Enter course details such as Course name, Course code, Grade level(s), and Grading periods. In a course-based setup, you also define Subject(s), Department, and Levels. In a subject-based setup, subjects are mandatory to be added. You can also specify the levels for each subject mapped to the course. Add staff members to the blueprint course and assign a role: Use school role, which follows the permissions assigned at the school level. Course editor, which allows viewing and managing all course modules. Course viewer, which allows viewing of course content only. Use the Upload icon to bulk add or update blueprint courses: Download the template (blank or pre-filled with existing courses). Enter or edit course details in bulk. Upload the completed file to apply changes. Use the three-dot menu beside a blueprint course to: Delete the course (only if no teacher courses are linked). Click the course name to open the blueprint course, where you can: Add or organize course content using the Course plan. Attach or edit standards. Lock content to prevent edits or removal in linked teacher courses. Manage settings, including: Associating and removing teacher courses. Viewing sync status, pending updates, and sync history. Syncing new or updated content to linked teacher courses. Configuring grading and visibility options. Adding or updating course staff. All configuration options are available in both course-based and subject-based setups. In a subject-based setup, some settings may appear at the subject level. Things to keep in mind
Multiple teacher courses can be linked to one blueprint course; however, a teacher course can be linked to only one blueprint. A teacher course cannot be associated with a blueprint course if: It already contains existing course data. Its grading periods do not match the blueprint course. Its subjects or grades do not match the blueprint course (in subject-based setups). Its levels do not match the blueprint course configuration (in course-based setups). Syncing is one way. Updates made in the blueprint course flow to linked teacher courses, not the other way around. Teacher edits in linked courses may block updates for specific items. Locked items cannot be edited or removed in linked teacher courses and must be updated from the blueprint course. Removing a linked teacher course stops future sync updates for that course. You can only delete a blueprint course if it has no associated teacher courses. Blueprint courses help maintain consistent curriculum structures while still allowing teacher-level customization where permitted. To learn more about blueprint courses, check out
