10 mins | Finding the Practice in the Bible (pg 38)
for your reference. You’ll use it in a limited way this week. The activities are not my favorite. Start your class with the Finding the practice in the Bible. The Biblical Storytelling is short and only a few verses long. Find a way to make this participatory or dramatic.
Note: It could be fun to frame the opening question as someone from history / celebrity / family member. Lots of directions to take here. . It might be helpful to make a big, visible list somewhere like the chalkboard.
15 mins | Practicing the Practice in the Bible (pg 41)
Feeding Others might be nice at this point, with some adjustments. After watching the video, I like the idea of those kids learning about food pantry do’s and dont’s. I just don’t like the coloring activity, which won’t engage this group. I wonder where you can take this?
10 mins | Finding the Practice all Around Us (pg 40)
For everyone born might be a nice closing activity for this class. I think the rhythmic instruments might be the most engaging, over scarves. Or perhaps a mix of scarves and instruments that are rotated?

Thank you for breathing some life into this plan on your own. I was not thrilled with this session’s curriculum; there are not enough response options that can hold engagement for a sustained period of time. That said, there are some good bones here and I’m confident this group can make the proper adjustments to enliven the lesson skeleton.
