A Note from Outgoing Chair of the CFM Committee, The Rev. Dr. Christy Lang Hearlson

Dear CFM Committee, and Overbrook Presbyterian Church,

It has been an utter joy to serve in this role over the past two years. Working with Anthony and this remarkable team of volunteers has been one of the great delights of my time so far at Overbrook Presbyterian Church. I’m especially grateful for everyone’s flexibility during Covid, and I’ve loved witnessing different people use their distinctive gifts to serve and to lead. One of the things I’m most proud of this committee for is its recommendation that OPC celebrate the Season of Creation, which is right around the corner and invites us to see God at work in the whole creation—something children can lead the way in. I’m thrilled that Molly is stepping up into this role, and I plan to continue supporting this ministry as a volunteer. Please continue offering prayers of blessing for this important ministry of the church.
