Stoked to start racing - can’t believe today is THE day! Honestly, it’s like the first day of school. I didn’t get a wink of sleep.

Ragnar rocks! So pumped - bring it on! Talked to a few other teams who’ve been running this for a while. Loved their enthusiasm and felt almost like a kindred spirit - one that embraces running.

The initial excitement has faded a bit. I’ve been sitting around enjoying the view; it seems like the excitement comes in spurts, with a whole lot of waiting around. I’m starting to feel tired already, and I don’t know why.

Hurrah! Malcolm finally came back and passed the Baton onto Andy. Go team go! My ears are ringing with cowbells. Everyone here is so encouraging and cheerful.

Running in sand for the last leg of the race was a lot more difficult than I expected. But oh did it feel good to see my team in the distance waiting for me and then running together to the finish line. We did it! We made it to the end. And now, we’re all Ragnarians. My medal reads “What goes on in the van, stays in the van” so I will not say much more than this.
