🧑‍💼 Hmmm ano kaya ang pwede nating maging guide to transform this research problem from this (show Example 1) to this (show Example 2)? Note lang na focus muna tayo sa pagformulate ng research problems for quantitative research.

🧑‍💼 Step 1: Identify your variables of interest - ano bang mga concepts ang kailangan i-measure or i-quantify para sa research ninyo? Tulad sa ating example, yung concept of “listening to Taylor Swift” ay hinati natin sa dalawang measurable variables: diversity in listening choice at length of time of listening. Sila ang magiging independent variables sa study natin. Tapos ginawa rin nating mas specific ang definition ng ating dependent variable bilang kanilang performance on midterm exams.

🧑‍💼Step 2: Relate your variables - ayon kay Creswell (2012), may 3 common approaches para i-konekta ang mga variables sa ating study.

Pwedeng mag-describe ng variables of interest natin. Example: What is the most common Taylor Swift songs or albums do the students listen to when they review? or What is the average score of the students in their midterm exams?

Maaaring mag-compare ng mga grupo at tignan ang pagkakaiba nila sa ating dependent variable. Example: What is the difference between the mean midterm scores of students who listened to Taylor Swift during reviews versus those who did not?

Maaaring maghanap ng association sa pagitan ng ating independent at dependent variables. Example: What is the association between the length of time listening to Taylor Swift’s song during review and the midterm exam scores of the students?

🧑‍💼Step 3: Polish your work! Be open to changes. May mga pagkakataon na kailangan baguhin ang research problems sa kalagitnaan ng research planning process. Keep your research problems brief and easy to understand. Choose a topic that is relevant to your field and feasible to study. Aim for a research problem that has meaningful implications and sparks curiosity. And formulate a problem that can be empirically tested and has a clear timeline for completion. Be open to changes. May mga pagkakataon na kailangan baguhin ang research problems sa kalagitnaan ng research planning process.
