Ep. 0: Mababaliw ka ba sa Research?

📽️The video opens with a clip of Cynthia Villar’s rant on Philippine Senate saying, “Baliw na baliw kayo sa research”

📽️The clip ends and a half-body shot of the narrator opens the next scene.

🧑‍💼Narrator: Marahil ay narinig o napanood na nating lahat ang clip na iyon. Bakit nga ba marami ang nababaliw sa research? At bakit mahalaga ang research sa ating buhay?

🖼️The scene ends while a photo of a class graduation enters the scene. Then the narrator will say:

🧑‍💼 Kailangan lang ba natin ito para makagraduate tayo? ❌

🖼️ A photo of a developed city will pop-up on the screen while the narrator states the following line.

🧑‍💼 Hindi lang, kundi para rin sa ikauunlad ng komunidad natin. ✅

📽️ The narrator will enter the screen again and he will state the following common dilemmas of students doing their research/thesis projects. While the narrator speaks, you can flash some keywords on screen in the style of Rated K

🧑‍💼Marami sa mga estudyante ngayon ang nahihirapan gawin ang kanilang mga research o thesis projects. Marahil dahil wala silang karanasan na gumawa ng research, o marahil hindi naituro sa kanila nang maayos ang mga bagay tungkol sa research writing at conduct ng research. Baka kulang din sila sa budget para pondohan ang mga kinakailangan materials at iba pang gastusin sa kanilang study. At baka wala ring gumagabay sa kanila sa paggawa ng kanilang research.

🧑‍💼Dahil sa mga dahilang ito, marami sa mga estudyante ang hindi na sineseryoso ang kanilang research at tinuturing na lang ito bilang requirement sa kanilang graduation.

📽️Show a clip or slideshow of photos of a group of students doing research, someone conducting a lab experiment, someone interviewing an individual for a survey, a group of students having their laptops in a coffee shop, and someone reading a book in a library while the narrator speaks the following lines:

🧑‍💼Layunin ng video series na ito na tulungan ang mga estudyante about sa basic research writing at sagutin ang ilang karaniwang mga katanugan related sa research/thesis writing. Ilan sa mga topic na tatalakayin sa series na ito ang tungkol sa tamang pagformulate ng research problem and objectives, saan kukuha ng maaasahang resources para sa RRL, paano pipili ng tamang research design, sagutin ang ilang katanungan pagdating sa sampling at sample size calculation, paano pipili ng tamang statistical methods para sa research, at iba pa.

📽️ The slides ends and the narrator will enter the screen for the last time.

📽️ Then, the logo of Altabay will fades into the screen then it fades out after about 2-3 seconds.
