We are excited to announce that we have started utilizing and maximizing the use of REDCap registries within the hospital. To support this initiative, we have established a REDCap Core Team responsible for assisting departments in creating custom-made registries tailored to their specific needs.
Additionally, good news! REDCap is now accessible online (outside the hospital) with Google authentication, making it easier to use from anywhere.
Why Use REDCap?
Secure, HIPAA-compliant, and designed for research data collection. Customizable forms with advanced branching logic and automation. Real-time collaboration with role-based access control. Audit trails to track changes, ensuring data integrity. Integrated data export for statistical analysis (SPSS, R, SAS, etc.). REDCap vs. Google Forms: What’s the Difference?
Unlike Google Forms, which is a basic survey tool, REDCap is built specifically for research and clinical registries. It offers greater security, structured data management, automated workflows, and seamless integration with statistical software—making it the preferred choice for research-driven data collection.
