The following section covers potential options for improvement of your house and the impact of these on your property. All the figures are based on the modelling assumptions of the governments standard assessment procedure or SAP the nationally accepted methodology for calculations that underpins the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) regime for all UK homes, but don’t rely on the automated EPC recommendations. for those of you with an eye for detail the figures use SAP 10.1 and 2019 carbon factors.
The figures are cumulative and reflect the effects of carrying out all of these measures together. See the appendix for a complete list of individual measures and their effects.
Costs of installation are estimated, they are included to help you understand relative costs of different measures. These costs based on industry rates for similar work, these can become out of date quite quickly particularly with the challenging market conditions of the last few years. These are not competitive quotations actual costs may be higher or lower, they do not include any grants or incentives that you may be eligible for.Savings are based on energy bill rates prevalent on the market at this time.
