Lab 3: Digitizing in ArcGIS Pro

The primary objective of this lab was to develop familiarity with ArcGIS Pro's digitizing tools by tracing features from aerial imagery. As shown in Figure 1, key landscape elements such as buildings, roads, and ponds were identified and converted into vector data. An advantage of this process is how it simplifies spatial information into a clean, accessible format for end users - by clearly mapping the area's infrastructure network, it lays a foundation for informed future planning and development.
Figure 2 built on this by introducing more advanced editing tools, including the ability to modify and extend existing polygon features using split, merge, and autocomplete functions. Both figures demonstrate how digitizing can process aerial imagery into maps that effectively communicate useful information to the end user.
