2017 - Learnt Design

megaphone
This was the beginning of my entire journey - from upskilling and failing literally every single day.
I started out as a graphic designer creating various assets for TEDx events within my institution
Slowly started grasping Photoshop & Canva.
Honestly, my designs were horrible back then - learned slowly
Started my journey learn Python & basics of Web Development

2018 - Lead the Design Team

megaphone
An entire year of hard-work helped me get better in my craft, I started designing stuff that I could put forward online and in offline stands.
I worked hard and learnt what good design looks like, I was still working at TEDx.
We were shipping almost 20+ pieces of design around 2 months before the real event.
Hard-work bore fruit and I ended up leading the design vertical.
Started creating small landing page and website for myself.

2019 - Design & Code

megaphone
Being around a good network, sharing my skills and working for fun. This is where I started working on mini projects that meant something for my clients
I was still leading the design team, and eventually started creating small logos and content for small business. I hadn’t started earning until now - was simply helping people out.
Started concentrating on code - learnt a lot of React, got my hands dirty with the MERN Stack
This is where I got a glimpse of freelancing (saw my roommate creating websites for clients and earning pretty cool for that time!)
Got my hands dirty with Upwork towards the end of the year.
Got my first few gigs as a content designer. The cost of the initial project was $200 which eventually increased as I kept putting in some good work - this was over multiple months. I could see my graphic design training from last 2 years being successful.

2020 - Full Swing

megaphone
I learnt how to write good proposals (after maybe 450+ proposals), learnt how to converse and present my work in the best manner. Saw how the structure of writing, creating the right tech-systems and drafts brought bigger results.
Covid-19 hit, my institute mandated studying from home.
Went full in on freelancing, doubled down on how to
I also started working for a media company in LA who conducted standup-shows for celebrities. The highest value project for the year $1400.
Also realised how brutal taxes could be, almost $200 went off in taxes (pooof)

2021 - Transition

megaphone
Learnt how the process works in larger projects, how learning psychological cues helps as a designer, and how to ideate and take feedbacks effectively. Saw how communication and conflict resolution led to big wins.

80% of my clients during 2021 were from Upwork, only 20% came via my socials.
Got Microsoft Ads as my second big client for Ads and Content Design
Conducted my first ever workshop for students, on how to get started with freelancing
Started working on my networking and social visibility at the backing of my larger portfolio → helped a few businesses with their designs → got clients via word of mouth
The highest value project for this year was under Ads Design → $8000. There were many projects that fell in the $300-400 spectrum apart from this.
Created a much larger network of entrepreneurs and business coaches around me
Met with aa accident, got a major ankle surgery, was on bed rest for a long time
Got introduced to multiple No Code tools - decided to learn
Paused my graphic design work to focus on No Code development.

2022 - Transition

megaphone
Learnt how to present myself online, create a honest network with extensive hard work and value sharing, and created my first large community. This is where I got on calls with multiple folks around the globe not for projects, but to share and collaborate.

Taught Bubble and Glide in my friend’s No Code Program, realised I was not a bad teacher - but my communication skill needed a lot of improvements
Created Trusty Tacos (a platform to bet on someone’s your next big goal and earn taco coins) - won 2nd price in a hackathon. Tried to launch it, but costs were too high for me back then → wanted to save more as I was recovering from my surgery.
Created a tool called BarterBase (a platform to exchange your digital products with someone else’s digital products - solely meant for creators) - won 3rd price in a hackathon. Tried to launch it but couldn’t figure out how to monetise it.
Completed my Airdev Bubble certification within 1.5 months
Created the largest Bubble community of India → I did this to learn advanced Bubble techniques myself and to connect with 10-15 Bubblers around me. Eventually, it grew to a 500+ member community. Being honest in your journey connects you to the best folks.
Got extremely active on Twitter, shared lots of free resources for the community to learn Bubbling. Even started working on my LinkedIn outreach.
Word of mouth helped me grab much larger Bubble Projects. Started receiving multiple DMs on LinkedIn for Bubble projects.
The highest value project for the year was around $13,000 for an internal-business tool. I received this project around October. Apart from these the other projects around the year average around $3000 in general.

2023 - Big Breakthrough after 5 years

megaphone
Learnt how to grow communities, create a high-value network around me, how to pitch high-ticket projects, and made sure that once a client is on call - I closed the project
Got very active in the No Code Community. Started being known as the Developer who had good knowledge of UX Design and a good variety of network around him.
Got back into coding whenever I had free time everyday, got my hands dirty with React. ChatGPT API had just released this year, so I started working more with Python as well. Even started creating code-overrides using JS within my Bubble App
Created a resource for the Bubble community to integrate JS into their application
The highest value project for the year was around $22,000 for a Bubble app in the field of education. The average project value throughout the year was $7,000 in general.
Whenever I couldn’t work on a project, I used my network to share referrals to the leads. This ensured that the leads got the highest quality of work, and the community flourished as well.
Got curious to start building applications for my own, to help people around me. Paused my freelance work as a Bubble Developer
Opened the Era of No Code - a cohort based program to help people build with Bubble, market themselves as a good freelancer, and create a network around them.
Side by side, I was helping founders with ideas to create their applications (no money involved, we were creating solutions that can later become big and help a larger audience - in an ownership basis)

2024 - Journey as a Founder

megaphone
Got on almost 200+ calls (apart from the actual cohort calls), got in collaboration with higher authorities, started developing a teacher + builder mindset, learnt the value of being honest and scaling ethically over time.

Got in collaboration with multiple No Code tools and communities.
Gave guest lectures in various bigger institutions on how to leverage No Code based technology
Conducted 3 No Code Cohorts in total, helped 100+ students throughout the year build and ship. Got some lovely results and was a proud moment to be a teacher.
Launched No Code 30 initiative throughout India with 1000+ registrations
I was constantly getting No Code and Design projects - but I was entirely focussed on giving value to my students. I started referring the best freelancers for these projects while working on a commission model - that made both I and the freelancer grow.
Highest value project for the year was beyond $40,000 - which I decided to pass on and refer somebody, because it clearly needed a team of 3-4 dedicated folks working on this. I was working solo.

2025 - Now

Started working extensively to create AI-backed systems and applications
Collaborated with my colleague RJ (20+ years of experiences as a top-tier executive training) to fill the gap in the industry when it comes to negotiations, conversations and where exactly to find high-ticket clients.
