A New Standard for Psychedelic Therapy Training - Final Call for Applications
As psychedelic-assisted therapy evolves rapidly, the need for skilled, ethical, and responsible psychedelic therapists is greater than ever.
The OPEN Foundation, an independent nonprofit that has dedicated 17+ years to advancing psychedelic science and therapy, is starting the first cohort of ADEPT – Advanced Education in Psychedelic Therapy on May 1st 2025.
This two-year training programme provides licensed mental health professionals with the knowledge, clinical skills, and ethical frameworks essential for safe and effective psychedelic-assisted therapy.

This is a gradual, carefully managed process and ADEPT starts with small, intimate cohorts of 24 participants to maximise learning opportunities, building community, and establishing standard of excellence early on. ADEPT is designed for experienced, licensed healthcare professionals who seek to develop the necessary competencies, skills, and ethical frameworks to responsibly guide patients.
Licensed mental health professionals (e.g., psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors with psychotherapy training) BIG registration or equivalent to licensed professionals ≥3 years experience providing psychotherapy or mental health care Comprehension of academic English Professionals with other relevant backgrounds may be considered (e.g. psychiatric nurse, nurse practitioner, mental health or palliative nurse)
