1. Crafting your Profile

Your Pangea.app profile is more than just a resume; it's your personal brand, your professional narrative, and your ticket to exciting opportunities.
Given that clients may only spend an average of two seconds on initial profile reviews, but over 30 seconds on those they decide to engage with, it's clear that a well-crafted profile is key to getting noticed. Here’s how to make yours stand out.

Let’s start with the Basics

Linked Auto-Enrich

Jumpstart your profile setup with our LinkedIn Auto-Enrich feature. Simply enter your LinkedIn URL, and we'll import your information, enhancing it with the power of ChatGPT for a rich, comprehensive profile. This initial step provides a solid foundation, but it's just the beginning.

Your Work Experience (Most important)

Your work experience isn't just a list of jobs; it's a showcase of your professional journey, skills, and the impact you've made. To climb higher in our ranking algorithm and capture clients' attention:
Detail Your Contributions: Expand each role with bullet points that outline specific projects, tools used, your contributions, and the measurable impact you had. Numbers speak louder than words.
Contextualize Your Experience: Start with a sentence about each company's core business and industry, especially if you've worked in sectors relevant to potential clients. This can significantly increase your profile's appeal.

Projects

Projects and case studies give life to your profile. They're displayed prominently, so:
Visual Appeal: Upload custom thumbnails for each project. For designers, this is especially critical.
Leverage URLs: Include URLs for your projects. We'll fetch the meta-image to add visual interest and provide a direct link to your work.

Portfolio links

Portfolios and personal websites are your professional showcases. If you've used LinkedIn Auto-Enrich, we'll automatically include your LinkedIn. But don't stop there:
Diversify Your Links: Add links to your personal portfolio, website, or even a Google Slide deck. For designers, portfolios are non-negotiable. We recommend platforms like Framer and Webflow over Wix for a more professional touch.
Functionality is Key: Ensure all links are active and accessible. Broken links can significantly detract from your credibility.

Bio and Headline

Your bio and headline are prime real estate for making a strong first impression:
Showcase Your Expertise: Use this space to highlight your achievements, skills, and any significant impact you've made in your field. This is your elevator pitch.
Attention to Detail: Typos or grammatical errors can undermine your professional image. A polished profile is a more compelling one.
